My disappearance was because I blessed Nnamdi Kanu – Father Mbaka

Ejike Mbaka

Popular Enugu based Catholic cleric and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ground Ministry, Fr. Ejike Mbaka has broken the silence on his disappearance. He said it was because he blessed controversial leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Father Mbaka was allegedly taken into DSS custody following some unsavoury remarks he made about the Buhari administration calling for either his resignation or impeachment. The cleric who once had a brush with former Enugu State Governor now Senator Chimaroke Nnamani disappeared from public view for about two days before his sudden reappearance which culminated in a one month suspension by the Catholic Church.

He alleged that the authorities planned to detain him for one month but they only detained him for two days.

He said: “Are you the owner of my mouth? You can’t tell me who to bless? If you are not happy that I blessed someone, you have your own mouth, you can curse the person,” he declared.
