Catholic Diocese Of Enugu Begins One Week Prayer For Cleansing After Father Mbaka’s Supporters Attack

The Diocese of Enugu in the Catholic Church has declared a week of prayer in what it described as move to cleanse its altar from desecration.

THE VENT REPUBLIC recalls that earlier in the week, on the 5th of May 2021, irate youths stormed the diocesan headquarters, enraged by the alleged disappearance of the spiritual head of the Adoration Ministries, father Ejike Mbaka and vandalized properties in the church. Mbaka later re-appeared, claiming he was placed under house arrest over his support and blessing for the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Diocesan Bishop og the Enugu Catholic Diocese, Reverend Callistus Onaga in a memo forwarded tp all parishes, chaplaincies and religious houses in the diocese urged all members of the religious house to begin the prayers for atonement and reparation, starting from today the 7tg of May 2021.
