Being friends with bandits makes you a terrorist – FFK blasts Gumi

Femi Fani-Kayode and Ahmad Gumi

Ex Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has blasted Sheikh Ahmad Gumi for being friendly with the bandits.

According to Gumi, banditry is a business, and gunmen would not have had access to weapons without the backing of some security personnel. He made the view when he appeared on  Arise TV.

In his words: “These bandits, if you don’t know, are cooperating with a lot of bad elements in our security system. This is a business. So many people are involved, you’ll be so surprised.”

“They were caught in Zamfara; they were caught everywhere, how do these big weapons cross our borders? How can these big weapons cross our borders and get into the forest without the cooperation of some bad element of the security operatives assisting them? It’s not possible. If I give you the same amount of guns can you take it to the UK? You can’t, because the security is alert.

”Part of fighting this banditry is to overhaul our security system.”

According to Femi Fani-Kayode, the friendship Gumi shares with the bandits share alone with should be necessary to have him arrested. Taking to his Twitter page, FFK fired shots at Gumi.

The tweet reads, “The issue is not who goes into the forest to meet the terrorists with you but rather what you say to them when you get there & what you gain by constantly defending them & attempting to justify and rationalise their barbaric actions.

“You are their best friend: that makes you a terrorist as well and you ought to have been arrested long ago.”
