What the UN Report says about Buhari and Boko Haram – Omokri

Reno Omokri

A Nigerian political commentator, Reno Omokri has alleged that a report by the United Nations indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is aiding and abetting activities of the Boko Haram insurgents.

Omokri, an ex new media aide of Nigeria’s ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan, made the allegations via a post on his verified Facebook page.

He expressed skepticism over reports of insurgents surrendering to Nigerian troops in the Northeast, stating that the repentant terrorists should have helped the troops to locate Leah Sharibu and others who are still in Boko Haram captivity.

The post read: “If these Boko Haram militants Buhari is releasing and rewarding are truly repentant, how come they have not told us the location where Leah Sharibu, the Chibok Girls, and other abductees are kept? What exactly is their act of repentance?

“Where is their contrition? What is the evidence that they have changed and are no longer a danger to society? There is none.

“The United Nations released a report on how the Buhari administration is paying these Boko Haramists money and even giving them houses. If they see free money and house, of course they will pretend to be repentant! It is a no brainer”!
