Nigerian singer and songwriter, Omawumi Megbele, has disclosed she was a baby mama for four years before she eventually got married to the father of her baby.
According to her, being a baby mama was her choice before her husband, Tosin Yussuf vehemently insisted he was going to take her to the altar.
Omawinmi who was a guest on TVC on Thursday, June 3rd, disclosed she made the decision to stay away from marriage after the birth of their daughter until she was sure they were both ready for marriage.
In her words:
“I did it. I was a babymama for four years before Papa Kamila decided to marry me. I don’t know why. I was a babymama for four years and I decided and said I don’t want to marry until we are good and ready”.
Speaking further on the issue, the wonder woman crooner emphasized that nobody has the right to question a woman’s decision.
Omawumi, a lawyer shot to national limelight when she came second to Timi Dakolo in Project Fame about a decade ago. She has gone on to release many hit songs and has built a massive fan base on social media. She is also a social commentator where she bares her mind on trending issues of the day. She is a close friend of singer Waje.
