EDDavido’s first child and daughter, Imade is six today and the award winning artiste took to Instagram to celebrate her Red Letter Day.
Sharing these lovely photos of his daughter, the proud father wrote: “Happy Birthday to my 1st born @realimadeadeleke !! I love the smart young girl u have grown to become .. and Daddy loves you so much ! IMACHELLA THIS WEEKEND WE LIT!!.”
Earlier in the month he bought her a Range Rover which set tongues wagging on social media. Imade is his first child with Sophia Momodu, a cousin of the renowned journalist and publisher, Bashorun Dele Momodu. Imade recently signed a deal as a brand ambassador with Eva soap.
It will be recalled that the relationship between Davido and Sophia was frosty a few years after Imade was born which made Davido’s family attempt to abduct Imade and take her abroad without the consent of Sophia. Dele Momodu intervened on behalf of Sophia and alerted the airport authorities who prevented them from flying with her.
This made Davido make some derogatory remarks about Dele Momodu and even called him ‘My boy.’ Davido and Sophia have since made up and are on cordial terms now. They are both co parenting Imade who receives a lot of love and care from Davido.
