Buga Won: Is Kizz Daniel At War With Tekno Miles Over Song Credit? Read Why Our Source Thinks So

Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe more known as Kizz Daniel is a household name in the Nigerian musical scene. From Woju to Yeeba to One Ticket to Buga won, the afrobeat RnB singer has over the years carved a niche for himself in the African music market.

‘Buga’ his latest musical impression with Tekno Miles, another musical superstar is arguably the hottest song in Nigeria at the moment. From clubs to ceremonies, even on our mobile phones, ‘Ololo Buga won’ seems to be the major tune serenading the minds of the music populace.

But with the success of the hit single, it appears there is a  friction between Kizz Daniel and Tekno over the song as it is being speculated that the latter is miffed with the ‘Barnabas’ singer for not giving him enough credit for the song as it should be.

According to a source close to Tekno, Kizz Daniel has not acknowledged him enough as the major brain behind the song as he not only wrote the hook and most of the verse; he worked hard for the production and mastering. The source further hinted that Tekno had on an occasion had to compare how Davido appreciated him for ‘IF’, a hit he co-wrote and produced for Davido, and how Kizz Daniel has been indifferent to his efforts, taking all the glory.

The source further hinted that the comparison got the ire of Kizz Daniel who was not only miffed with the criticism but averred that he has done his best for Tekno by paying him and also making sure his name was infused in all streaming platforms for the song.

Kizz Daniel had given an inclination of an issue when he posted a tweet on his Insta Story with the caption: “Stupid people because of one song you dey vex. I go clamp your tyre now.”

It is believed that the message was for Tekno who he feels he is getting overly entitled to the success of the song.

Prior to that, Mr. Daniel has taken to Twitter to drag an unnamed person, positing that if he refused to talk to someone it is not his fault but that of the person.

It was also alleged that industry veterans are wading into the case to resolve the impasse especially as the official Video to ‘Buga’ is being eagerly awaited.

A check on Tekno’s social media activity shows that he has stopped promoting the song on his timeline, even though the last time he posted on his Instagram page was 15 May 2022, about 3 weeks ago. He has only maintained a hiatus on social events, gatherings, and even online ‘cruise banter’.

While these assertions are still in the realm of speculations, we at THE VENT REPUBLIC will not be categorical in our postulations if indeed there is warfare between the two talented artistes but we want to keep being blessed with good music from Mr. Daniel and Mr. Tekno Miles.
