EDA High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Wuse has remanded Peter Nwachukwu, husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi in Kuje correctional centre.
Justice Ngozi Nwosu-Iheme ruled that Nwachukwu remains in custody until the conclusion of his trial.
She gave the order despite Nwachukwu pleading not guilty to the 23-count charge against him.
The Federal Government had levelled the charges bordering on domestic violence and homicide, among others, following the death of his popular Gospel artiste wife.
She granted an accelerated hearing and adjourned till June 16 at 12 noon for the commencement of trial.
Osinachi died following alleged domestic violence she suffered from Nwachukwu. She was said to have left the house for a year before being prevailed upon to return. They had four children together and the kids testified to the fact that their late mother was a victim of domestic violence.
