Four Days after Banning Twitter, Nigeria Loses N4.35 Billion

It has been four days since social media giant, Twitter was banned in Nigeria and the country has already lost 4.35 billion naira.

Here what Nigerians are saying about the ban;

@peerayce – In view of the Twitter ban in Nigeria, please note that this handle has now been domiciled in diaspora and is being handled by remote teams all around the world.

@AdeyemiOlabod13 – I don’t benefit anything from Nigeria Government, so why I will obey their Twitter ban.
They don’t care about citizen security and welfare.
Two days now over 50 people died and lot of property lost in Igangan area of Oyo from Fulani people no single statement made by the Gov

@FagboFrank – Sequel to the ban of Twitter in #Nigeria, my account is now being handled by myself, in Lagos, Nigeria. I refuse to be intimidated by an illegality that is contrary to the laws of the land. Views remain mine!

@the_sonofgrace – Sequel to the ban of Twitter in Nigeria, my account is now being handled by a remote team who live in different parts of the world. This started on the 4th of June 2021 and will continue until further notice. Views are either mine or that of members of my team #KeepitOn

@9thBrother – Twitter is “banned” in Nigeria, is this really the right time to put a face on those defying the ban ? Remember, the damage might be done long before they get out

@KizitoSab – I knew that that Yemi guy would trend when he started talking shit he knows nothing about. Is it today that they started insulting Buhari on Twitter that mad him to ban Twitter in Nigeria?
Desmond Elliot apostle

@adeshinas – …as it stands, the Nigerian government promised to end Boko Haram (Islamic terrorism in Nigeria) about 6 years ago. Now a ban on twitter. The priority is???

@michtemmy – If the energy dissipated by the FG to #TwitterBan is measured against our economic and security woes, Nigeria will be a better place. But our govt is known to engage in irresponsible responsibilities.

@9thBrother – This Twitter ban you people are suffering in Nigeria is now purely being driven by the ego of geriatrics.. You remember those times elders asked if you’re calling them a liar after being caught out ? Same scenario with these fuck ups
