Boko Haram kills thirty people in recent attacks

About five soldiers were among the thirty people that were said to have been killed in a recent attack by the Boko Haram Insurgents in Ajiri community, Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

This ugly incident happened after the visit of the acting Governor, Usman Kadafur.

A source said that 15 civilian JTF and 10 civilians were murdered in a fresh attack that took place in the state this morning.

Abduljamil Adamu, a CTJF official said “The insurgents seriously engaged the Nigerian military in a gun battle that lasted for several hours before finally dislodging the Special Forces at Ajiri.

“Some of the Special Forces personnel were seen scampering for safety as most of them made their way to Mafa for safety.”

The insurgents were said to have taken away five vehicles and a gun truck from the Civilian JTF.
