Retired Major General Nuhu Angbazo has emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 elections.Angbazo secured victory in the party’s primary election, defeating Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo and former Minister of Environment, Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi.
The results were announced in Lafia by the Chairman of the ADC Primary Elections Committee for Nasarawa State, Solomon Dalung.According to the official results, Angbazo polled 23,931 votes to clinch the party’s ticket. Abdullahi came second with 18,197 votes, while Onawo secured 15,282 votes. Another aspirant, Osana Odonye, received 4,797 votes.The primary election featured four aspirants vying to represent the ADC in the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship race.With his victory, Angbazo will now fly the party’s flag in the upcoming general election.
