Cruz Beckham has expressed hope for mending his relationship with his older brother, Brooklyn Beckham, despite a family rift that has lasted more than a year.
Brooklyn, 27, celebrated his birthday on March 5 in the United States with his wife, Nicola Peltz, 31, and her family.
His parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and siblings were absent from the celebrations but still sent birthday wishes via social media, despite not speaking directly to him.

While Brooklyn has remained publicly silent on the family feud since his explosive January statement accusing his parents of being “controlling,” his siblings appear open to reconciliation.
Cruz, 21, was spotted in Paris with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30, and when asked by TMZ if he had sent birthday wishes to Brooklyn, he simply replied with a smile, “Happy birthday.”
When questioned about whether he and Brooklyn could repair their relationship, Cruz responded: “Hopefully.”
The youngest Beckham sibling also shared a touching social media post for his brother, posting a childhood photo of Brooklyn holding him as a baby alongside the message, “i love you,” with a party popper emoji.

Earlier in the day, David and Victoria Beckham also posted nostalgic throwback photos celebrating Brooklyn’s birthday.
David captioned one post, “Happy Birthday Bust,” referencing Brooklyn’s childhood nickname, while Victoria shared a family holiday snap, writing, “Happy Brooklyn, we love you so much.”

Brooklyn, however, did not publicly respond to his parents’ posts.
A source told ET that the social media messages were largely unwelcome, describing them as “performative” and reflecting the kind of public displays Brooklyn has long criticized.

The insider noted that Brooklyn and Nicola were frustrated by the posts and that, last summer, they had sent a legal notice requesting all future correspondence with his parents go through lawyers.
Despite the tension, Cruz’s birthday tribute signals that at least part of the Beckham family still hopes for reconciliation with Brooklyn.
