The United Kingdom has announced new increases in visa, travel authorisation, and citizenship fees, with the revised charges set to take effect from April 8, 2026.
The changes will affect a wide range of applicants, including tourists, students, skilled workers, and individuals seeking permanent residency or citizenship, as the government continues to adjust immigration related costs.
Under the new structure, the Electronic Travel Authorisation will rise to £20.
The permit, required for visa exempt travellers from regions such as Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia, was initially introduced at £10 in 2023 and later increased to £16.
It remains valid for two years.Visitor visa fees are also set to increase across different durations. A six month visa will move to £135, while two year, five year, and ten year options will also see upward revisions, affecting those travelling for tourism, business, or family visits.
Applicants for work and study visas will face higher costs as well. Skilled Worker visa fees will increase for both short term and longer stays, while Student visa applications will also rise.
These adjustments apply to applicants both داخل and outside the UK.

More significant increases are expected for settlement and citizenship processes. The fee for Indefinite Leave to Remain will climb above £2,000, while naturalisation costs will also go up.
However, the government has reduced the fee for child registration, offering some relief to families. The latest changes follow a series of immigration cost adjustments in recent years, including higher financial requirements for international students to cover living expenses, particularly in cities like London.
The revisions reflect the UK’s broader immigration policy direction, with rising costs continuing to shape access for migrants and visitors.
