U.S. President Donald Trump has denied any American role in the recent strike on South Pars Gas Field, stating that Washington had no prior knowledge of the incident.
Speaking via Truth Social, Trump attributed the attack to Israel, describing it as a reaction to escalating tensions in the region, while noting that only a small section of the facility was affected.
He also stressed that Qatar had no involvement or prior awareness of the strike.
Trump criticized Iran for what he described as an unjustified response, alleging that Tehran targeted part of Qatar’s LNG infrastructure without full understanding of the situation.
The president added that no further attacks would be carried out by Israel on the South Pars facility unless Iran escalates the conflict, suggesting a halt in strikes linked to the strategic energy site.
