EDSuspected bandits launched a fresh attack today, Monday, May 10 on the Yakin Kwata community in Jibiya Local Government Area of Katsina State abducting 40 Islamic faithful from a Mosque.
A source spoke anonymously to The Vent Republic and confirmed that the fourty worshippers who were kidnapped were both male and female who were observing the early morning Ramadan prayers called Tahajjud.
According to the source, the security operatives were alerted and went after the kidnappers and were able to rescue twenty-nine of them.
The police command in the state is yet to confirm the incident.
