BREAKING: Aisha Alhassan (Mama Taraba), Is Dead

Nigeria’s former Minister of women affairs, Mrs Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, more known as Mama Taraba is dead.

Al-Hassan, one of the most outspoken female Northern politicians was President Buhari’s cabinet member and the APC gubernatorial candidate in Taraba State in the 2015 polls. She contested the 2019 governorship election under the platfrom of the United Democratic Party but lost to the incumbent, Darius Ishaku.

Sources told THE VENT REPUBLIC that she had a problem with walking and had been receiving treatment in the US for a while now but died in Cairo, Egypt.
