Amid the flooding, claims that crocodiles had been spotted in some of the affected areas have also generated concern among residents.One widely circulated video appears to show a large crocodile moving through a flooded residential area. However, the authenticity of that particular footage could not be independently verified. Some social media users have also questioned whether the video may have been generated or altered using artificial intelligence.A separate video, however, shows residents reportedly killing a baby crocodile found in a flooded area. Unlike the footage involving the alleged giant crocodile, the video of the baby crocodile has been confirmed to be genuine.The reported presence of a crocodile in a residential area has added another dimension to concerns surrounding the flooding, with residents urging authorities to assess the affected communities and take measures to protect people from possible encounters with displaced wildlife.Residents are also calling for immediate steps to drain the affected areas and restore access to flooded roads, while urging the government to address the underlying drainage and flood-management challenges in the city.
