The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks on the war timeline, insisting that Tehran, not Washington, will determine when the conflict ends.
IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini described Trump’s statements as “nothing but lies,” accusing the U.S. president of attempting to “fabricate military achievements” following setbacks in the war.
“We are the ones who will determine the end of this war,” Naeini said, according to the Tasnim news agency.
He further claimed that U.S. forces are running low on ammunition and suggested Trump was seeking a way to exit the conflict without exposing the truth to the American public.
“Why don’t you tell the American people? Trump doesn’t want them to know that all U.S. military infrastructure in the Persian Gulf has been destroyed,” Naeini asserted.
The general also rejected claims that Iranian missile capabilities had been weakened by U.S. and Israeli attacks, stating that Iran is firing projectiles in larger numbers and with heavier warheads than in the early days of the conflict.
Naeini added that Iran’s armed forces will prevent the export of oil from the region to the aggressors and their allies until further notice, warning that any attempts to control global oil and gas prices would be “temporary and futile.”
