Former World’s richest men and Co Founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates and his wife Melinda Gates have made a joint decision to end their 27 year marriage.
They made this decision known to the public on their verified Twitter handle.
The statement read: “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made a decision to end our marriage. Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.
“We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives.”
The duo met in Microsoft where Melinda was a member of staff and started dating in 1987. They tied the knots on January 1 1994 and have three children – a boy and two girls together.
This may be one of the world’s biggest divorce settlements for Melinda Gates. We recall the billion dollar settlement obtained by Mackenzie Scott, ex wife of Amazon former CEO and founder, Jeff Bezos.
